{"id":15,"date":"2026-04-06T09:53:48","date_gmt":"2026-04-06T09:53:48","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/abelhernandezpozuelo.com\/?page_id=15"},"modified":"2026-04-09T15:51:43","modified_gmt":"2026-04-09T15:51:43","slug":"biografia","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/abelhernandezpozuelo.com\/en\/biografia","title":{"rendered":"Biography"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading has-text-align-left\">Musical composition and production<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I am a composer, producer, musician, songwriter and performer with extensive experience in personal projects (<a href=\"https:\/\/open.spotify.com\/intl-es\/artist\/5vKasKzFXN4tnWsjzU2JJQ?si=46a02f0fa5e04eb0\"><strong>The Son<\/strong>)<\/a> or collectives (<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/open.spotify.com\/intl-es\/artist\/75NqPJJAIJwlUPizDVfBVI?si=3e70f3d6b47b414e\">Migala<\/a><\/strong> y <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/open.spotify.com\/intl-es\/artist\/3FS7wAxqEZkFGH4NjSW09E?si=2076b839144d47f9\">Emak Bakia<\/a><\/strong>), in addition to enjoying helping other musicians shape their albums as an artistic producer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Commissioned compositions for other people&#039;s work, for films, for television or for advertising, are always a challenge and a way to process new ideas and creative demands.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Between 2014 and 2021 I was a professor in the Degree in Musical Creation at the European University of Madrid, in subjects such as &quot;Musical Thinking in Popular Music&quot;, &quot;Musical Production&quot;, &quot;Creative Production&quot;, &quot;Writing, Understanding and Communication of Content about Music&quot;, &quot;Creation of Electronic and Electroacoustic Music&quot; or &quot;Musical Thinking and Contemporary Trends&quot;.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I&#039;m almost as passionate about thinking and writing about music as I am about composing, producing, or playing it. In that vein, between 2011 and 2016, I ran the blog La columna de aire and the recommended albums section Apuesta Pop for the digital and print versions of El Cultural, respectively. I&#039;ve also occasionally written about music for other publications (Ahora, Playground, Rolling Stone, Paradigma, etc.).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Theory, writing, and teaching<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Alongside my musical work, between 1998 and 2016 I wrote regularly about contemporary art for publications such as El Cultural, as well as for exhibition catalogs.
