Migala

Migala was a musical group from Madrid active in the late 1990s and early 2000s. Their music combined styles such as experimental rock, post-rock, and spoken word elements, creating dark atmospheres and highly literary narratives. Emak Bakia was a side project of Abel Hernández and Coque Yturriaga, members of the band Migala, formed with David Fernández (formerly of Aroah). It was active primarily between the late 1990s and early 2000s.

The Son

Abel Hernández's personal musical project since 2005. Between 2005 and 2010, he experimented with singer-songwriter music, acoustic sounds, and production styles reminiscent of the less obvious psychedelia of the 60s and 70s and the restless pop of the 2000s. After a transition towards rock (Soltero Negro, Los movimientos), since 2013 he has been working with the rhythmic possibilities and processing of pop on the fringes and contemporary electronica.
